Message 40 mph and above? If it only does it when you stop, it is your fan clutch....If it does it even at speed, than you have a leak somewhere. By the sounds of the puff of smoke, you probably have a bad upper or lower hose from the rad or a coolant line or of course, the water pump. There is 2 small hoses behind the water pump which tend to go also. Are you low on antifreeze? If you are, there is a leak. start car and put a load on it and look at the waterpump to see if it is leaking..Hope this helps...
